- We were lucky enough to find Capers whilst we were wondering whether there was anywhere decent to eat in downtown Belleville. How glad we were as downtown desperately needs somewhere like Capers. It is such a pity it isn't busier as it deserves to be. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best we have eaten in years (and we have eaten in some very high class establishments). We would recommend it to anyone who appreciates amazing staff, delicious food and impeccable service.

- We are from out of town and met some friends for dinner here -- picked it for the tasting menu. It was great. The food was interesting and well served. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and clearly interested in food. Food and wine pairings were excellent. Even though we arrived late, we were not rushed.

- We had lunch and dinner at Capers and both were delicious.At dinner we had risotto and halibut.Both were presented beautifully and and were delicious.The servings were just right.Our waitress was attentive and friendly and made our meals pleasant.Dessert was molten chocolate cake and was to die for. This restaurant has a lovely warm feel to it with terra cotta coloured walls and a warm fire place.Better than the Toronto restaurants we have been to lately .Great lunch also with fabulous herbed fries.
