Remarkably, this Gamay is so different from year to year - this is one winery which truly believes in allowing the 'terroir' to speak for itself. The depth and earthy dark fruit in this bottling remind me of a classic St. Nicholas from the Loire, a little funky, yet more complex than you would expect. Wonderful with a lamb shank.
